About the Role We're looking for a Smart Contract Engineer to join our founding team and own the entire on-chain architecture for a greenfield Web3 project. You will be the first blockchain engineer, with full autonomy to design, build, and deploy the core smart contracts that power the platform. You'll work closely with backend and frontend teams to integrate the Web3 layer seamlessly. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deploy Solidity smart contracts - Implement upgradeable contract patterns (UUPS) for future flexibility - Write comprehensive tests using Foundry - Optimize gas usage and ensure security best practices - Build the blockchain API layer (NestJS + ethers.js/viem) - Design on-chain data architecture and indexing strategy - Collaborate with backend and frontend teams on integration - Mentor junior developers as the team grows
