English-Speaking Technical Client Coordinator — Latin America

About Us We are a small tech startup company focused on the Latin American market. We have a strong full-stack engineering team and work on a variety of software and web development projects. We are looking for an English-speaking Latin American Technical Client Coordinator who can work closely with both our clients and development team. This is primarily a communication and coordination role rather than a coding-heavy position. A software development background is important because you will need to understand technical discussions, requirements, and project progress, but coding will be a secondary responsibility. Because we operate throughout Latin America, we are looking for someone who is a native or near-native Spanish or Portuguese speaker. At the same time, strong spoken English is required for communication across our team and projects. Depending on the project, you may communicate with clients in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. What You'll Do • Participate in client meetings, introduction calls, technical discussions, and project updates. • Communicate confidently with clients in Spanish or Portuguese when appropriate. • Participate in English-speaking meetings and discussions. • Communicate regularly with our development team in English. • Understand client requirements and communicate them clearly to developers. • Help clarify technical requirements, feedback, priorities, and project expectations. • Follow up with clients and team members when additional information is needed. • Help ensure that communication between clients and developers remains clear and accurate. • Understand project progress well enough to discuss updates, questions, and issues with clients. • Occasionally assist with development-related tasks when appropriate for your technical background. Requirements • Strong spoken English — required. • Native or near-native Spanish or Portuguese — required. • Background in software development, web development, computer science, or a related technical field. • Ability to understand common software development concepts and technical conversations. • Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical people. • Confident participating in video and voice calls. • Strong listening and interpersonal communication skills. • Professional and reliable communication. • Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for online meetings. • Flexible availability for project-based assignments. • Ability to work during hours compatible with the Brasília time zone. Our hiring and interview process will be conducted in English, so applicants should be comfortable speaking English in a professional conversation. Technical Background You do not need to be a senior software engineer. However, you should have enough development knowledge to understand conversations about areas such as: • Frontend and backend development • APIs • Databases • Web applications • Bugs and technical issues • Project requirements • Development timelines and progress Experience with technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, PHP, SQL, or similar technologies is helpful but not mandatory. Nice to Have • Previous experience as a frontend, backend, or full-stack developer. • Experience communicating directly with clients. • Experience working with remote or international teams. • Experience with freelance or contract work. • Experience participating in software project meetings. • Experience translating business requirements into information developers can easily understand. Compensation Hourly compensation ranges from $5 to $20 USD per hour depending on the type of assignment, its complexity, and the level of responsibility involved. Most assignments average approximately $10 USD/hour. Higher-priority, more technical, or higher-responsibility assignments may be paid toward the upper end of the range. The applicable rate will always be communicated before you accept an assignment. This is a flexible, project-based opportunity. You will not necessarily be required to accept every assignment, making the position suitable for freelancers, independent contractors, developers between projects, or professionals who have additional availability. Who This Role Is Best For This opportunity may be a good fit if you: • Are a native or near-native Spanish or Portuguese speaker. • Speak English confidently in professional conversations. • Have a software development background but also enjoy working with people. • Are comfortable speaking with clients and developers. • Prefer communication and coordination work over spending all of your time coding. • Have a flexible schedule and availability for additional freelance work. • Are interested in working with a distributed technical team serving the Latin American market. If you have strong spoken English, native-level Spanish or Portuguese, a technical background, and good availability, we'd be happy to hear from you. Work Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor / Part-Time Contract Compensation: $5–$20 USD/hour, with averaging around $10/hour Schedule: Must be available during Brasília Time (BRT)
